The all new Samsung Galaxy A series smartphones are here. Samsung has finally introduced the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017), A5 (2017), and A7 (2017) after a myriad of rumors and leaks. Initially, the smartphones will be available in Russia only, followed by a global release.
The latest iteration of A series, the Galaxy A (2017) have got a new design and features up their sleeve. First up, Samsung has upped the oomph bar with a metal frame and a 3D glass covering the back panel. This design resembles the last year flagship devices, Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. All new entries of the A-lineup will be available in four color variants: black sky, gold sand, blue mist, and peach cloud.
The improvements don’t end there. Samsung for the first time has brought Type-C port and IP68 (resistant to water and dust) certification to the A series. This year all three, A3 (2017), A5 (2017), and A7 (2017) feature an Always on display to show notifications and other alerts.
Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) Specs
Samsung Galaxy A3 comes with a 4.7-inch HD Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB onboard storage on offer, which can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card slot. As for the camera is concerned, the device is equipped with 13 MP rear and 8 MP front shooters.
Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) Specs
This one sports a 5.2-inch full HD (1080p) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by 1.9GHz octa-core CPU and 3 Gigs of RAM. Internal storage stands at 32 GB with similar expandable capabilities. Camera department of Galaxy A5 (2017) comprises of 16 MP units on both back and front end.
Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) Specs
Last one and the biggest of the lot is Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017). The smartphone shares the same specs with Galaxy A5 (2017) apart from the display. Here, you get a 5.7-inch full HD (1080p) Super AMOLED display instead of 5.2-inches.
Prices
The pricing for Russia is not yet available for any of these phones. However, according to SamMobile, the European models of Galaxy A3 (2017) and Galaxy A5 (2017) will be priced at 329 Euros and 429 Euros, respectively. The same reported added that Galaxy A7 (2017) is unlikely to launch globally.
