Forgot to recharge your Jio number with the Prime membership plan? Well, that should not be a worry as Reliance Jio has extended the deadline for purchasing the Prime membership plan, as well as the 303 and other plans till April 15.
According to Reliance Jio Infocomm, more than 72 million of its active subscribers have already signed up for Jio Prime in one month. That, the company says, makes it “one of the most successful customer privilege programmes anywhere in the world.”
“Considering the unprecedented demand for enrolling to JIO PRIME and doing the first recharge, Jio has extended the deadline for purchasing Jio’s Rs 303 (and other) plans till 15th April,” Jio stated in a press release.
Jio Summer Surprise brings more offers for Prime members
The Mukesh Ambani-led company had more good news to share with users. In addition to extending the deadline for purchasing the Prime membership plan, the company also announced the “Jio Summer Surprise” program which will be an exclusive for the Prime members only.
As per this new program, any one who recharges with Rs 303 or more prior to April 15 will be entitled to additional benefits of free services during the first three months on a complimentary basis.
Paid tariff plans will come into effect only when the complementary service expires after three months.
No more Reliance Jio free data and call after April 15
It seems the extension is targeted at fetching users the necessary time, and to avoid unwarranted service disruption during the switch from free to paid services. However, Reliance Jio also confirmed that the free services will end on April 15, leaving those who do not recharge by said date with downgraded or discontinued service.
“I want to personally thank you for choosing Jio, and for being a founding member of the Jio movement. A movement to transform India. A movement to empower and enrich each one of you with the revolutionary power and possibilities of Digital Life,” said Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries in a press statement, Indian Express reports.
