If insider rumours on the internet are to be believed, Red Dead Redemption 2 was actually slated to be revealed at the Sony conference, but the plan was cancelled at the last minute out of respect for the victims of the massacre in Orlando. The reason behind this is that a specific scene in the teaser for the game involved a man walking into a saloon (or a bar) and shooting the place up – not the best scene to show on stage after what happened in Orlando.

This rumour comes to us from YouTuber GameRiot, who shares the rumour, although he advises taking it with a grain of salt. He suggests that it was odd that the game Days Gone was revealed early in the conference and was then returned to at the end of it. According to the rumour, Days Gone was going to be shown off only in the middle of the conference, with Red Dead Redemption 2 wrapping up the conference.

Another dot to connect is that the gameplay trailer for Days Gone went up earlier during the conference than it was actually shown in the Sony conference: this could have happened because the trailer was set to go online at the same time as the original timing of the Days Gone gameplay reveal in the conference. It sounds believable, although some salt would help.
