Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of Rockstar’s most successful and popular games to date. So, we won’t be surprised if Rockstar takes the hair-splitting decision of making Red Dead Redemption 2 Neo Exclusive. For those who don’t know what Neo is, it is Sony’s upcoming console. It features improved hardware specs and will be rivaled by Microsoft’s equally intimidating Xbox One Scorpio.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Neo Exclusive? We’ll have to wait for Sony’s PlayStation event
Rockstar has hinted that the game will be revealed on September 7 at Sony’s PlayStation event. Incidentally, this will also be the event where Sony will reveal its upcoming Neo console. So, what are the chances that Red Dead redemption 2 Neo Exclusive actually becomes a reality? Well, so far Rockstar has neither denied nor approved of any rumors circulating.
Without a doubt, it will be devastating for Xbox players and fans of the original 2010 open world Western-themed action game if Rockstar announces that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be a Neo exclusive. At the moment we can only speculate but the fact that Rockstar has chosen this specific date to reveal the new game (or hinted at revealing the new game) raises all sorts of red flags.
Red Dead Redemption was an open world action game released in 2010 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox. The game has also been made available to Xbox One players through the backward compatibility feature. So, the Microsoft fanboys won’t be left completely in the dust if Rockstar announces Red Dead Redemption 2 as a Neo exclusive.
Since its release, the game has won numerous awards. At the 2010 Spike Video Game Awards, Red Dead Redemption won the ‘Game of the Year Award’. We will keep you updated with Red Dead Redemption 2 updates and Rockstar’s other titles. Stay tuned to MobiPicker for more news.
