Quantico season 2 concluded on May 15, 2017, and since then, fans of the popular TV series have been eagerly waiting for the next season to arrive. And on that very day, ABC announced that the series will be renewed for another season. The official announcement did set the hype going for the next season, but at the same time, it left fans wondering what the next season is going to feature. And it seems that some cast and crew members are going to leave the show for good.
Before season 2 ended, there were many rumors claiming that Quantico season 3 won’t happen. However, those rumors were later cleared on May 15 when the next season was officially confirmed. The show had a lot of viewers and great reviews, and this is the very reason why ABC decided to renew it for a third season. So to make Quantico season 3 better than what fans are expecting, the team behind the series has decided to let go of some cast and bring in some new faces.
Quantico Season 3 Cast Gets Some Changes
The actress who played the role of the twins Nimah & Raina Amin in the series, Yasmine Al Massri, along with the actress who played the role of Dayana Mampasi, Pear Thusi have already left the show. Russell Tovey and Aunjanue Ellis on the other hand, are also rumored to leave the show soon, but this is yet to be confirmed. However, Priyanka Chopra, the actress who plays the role of the main character, Alex Parrish will stay. While Blair Underwood is going to reprise his role as Owen Hall in Quantico season 3. Jake McLaughlin and Johanna Braddy are also going to return with their roles.
Quantico Season 3’s Showrunner Changed
Not only this, but fans will also see changes in the production crew of Quantico season 3. Joshua Safran, the show’s creator, and original showrunner, has stepped down from his role, but will remain with the show as a consultant. To replace him, Michael Seitzman is going to take over as the new showrunner and executive producer of the upcoming season. For those who don’t know, Seitzman is well-known for many of his notable works, including “Code Black”, so fans won’t be disappointed.
Quantico Season 3 Release Date
Quantico season 3 is currently scheduled to arrive in January 2018. Unlike the previous seasons, which consisted of 22 episodes each, the next season is going to have only 13 episodes.
