PS5 and its release date are the latest obsession over the web. As fans are always looking for new console insights, some PS5 release predictions have been made. When the console will eventually be released, it’s a very interesting yet confusing question. However, some experts have something exciting to share with you all.

We all know Sony’s PlayStation brand and all of its remarkable video game consoles are the leaders in the worldwide markets. They have sold way more console units worldwide than any other manufacturer. But, that doesn’t mean all of its competitors are not making progress.

According to the predictions of DFC experts, Microsoft will be able to sell over 17 million Xbox One X consoles worldwide by the end of 2021. This is not all, as the experts further suggest that they’ll even sell more console units next year and by 2022 the figures are expected to reach 20 million.

The same experts suggest that the overall lifetime sales of Microsoft’s Xbox One X will reach 63 million units sold worldwide.

The Nintendo Switch is also making a great progress and its user base is continually growing every day. More and more game releases and announcements are fueling the Switch sales across the globe.

To make Nintendo Switch one of the most successful video game consoles, Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Cart 8 have played an important role. The Super Mario Odyssey is likely to give it another big boost that will eventually grow its sales even more.

But where does the Sony’s PlayStation 5 stands? Well, the console isn’t yet out in the markets. However, previous predictions about PS5 release suggest that the console might be coming out in early 2018. If these predictions are to be believed, it’ll definitely affect both the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One X sales.

But, Michael Pachter from Wedbush Securities predicts that the console will not be releasing in 2018. He further says that the PS5 might be coming out in 2019. If not 2019, it’ll definitely land in the markets worldwide in 2020.

According to Pachter while talking to Gamingbolt;

“My expectation that is that it’s not coming out in 2018.

That is a 2019 0r 2020 but probably 2019. Sony is probably timing it better because they are going to bring out a 4K capable device. When the 4K TV market reaches 50% in the USA and 35% in the rest of the world.

I think Sony has probably got the next console cycle nailed down already. I think, they already know what they got to do.”

Michael Pachter is one of the best predictors. So, it’s possible that the fans will see a PS5 video game console by the likes of 2019 or 2020. However, these are just predictions and there is no official word out yet from Sony or any of their employees. Let’s wait and see if the tech giant opens up about the upcoming PS5 gaming console.
