The 4K Performance

The release of PS4 Pro enabled the players to enjoy 4K gaming with HDR. However, both of Xbox Scorpio and PS4 Pro have their own special way of running 4K games at high resolutions. This is mainly because both of these consoles have different specs. However, the PS4 Pro doesn’t run the games at native 4K. Instead, it runs the games using a technique named as Checkerboarding to run the games at near the native 4K. This particular technique converts a 2×2 pixel ratio to 4×4 without much of the loss of image quality. On the other hand, the innovative Xbox Scorpio runs the games at the Native 4K. it’s a big difference.

Streaming Services

Both of the PS4 Pro and Xbox Scorpio support streaming services such as Netflix and Youtube in 4K HDR. This means that the users will be able to watch their favorite shows at 4K resolution on both of the consoles. However, the Xbox Scorpio has an upper hand here because it has 4K Bluray Drive.

The Specs

There is a huge specs difference in both of the consoles. If you take a keen look at the specs and compare them, you’ll definitely be able to know which one is best for you. The PS4 Pro utilizes 8 Core x86 Jaguar Processor that is clocked at a maximum 2.1 GHz. It is also armed with a GPU with a computational power of 4.2 Teraflops. This is significantly a huge improvement over the standard PS4 console that has only 1.8 Teraflops of computational power. Plus Sony recently upgraded the PS4 Pro with extra RAM to have the maximum transferring speeds of 218 GB/sec.

On the other hand, on Xbox Scorpio, there is a custom 8 Core Jaguar  Processor clocked at 2.3 GHz. It’s GPU utilizes 6 teraflops of Computational power. Microsoft has also loaded up the Scorpio with 12 GBs of RAM that offers a transfer rate of 326 GB/sec.
