The mid-ranger BlackBerry Leap is announced officially at MWC 2015. The new smartphone will be launched in April with a contract-free price of $275.
The phone sports a 5 inch HD display, and is powered by an outdated Snapdragon S4 Plus chipset with dual-core Krait processor, clocked at 1.5GHz. The BlackBerry Leap packs 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory (expandable up to 128GB, via microSD), and a 2,800 mAh non removable battery. The company claims 25 hours heavy use on the battery.
The device measures 144 x 72.8 x 9.5mm and weighs 170g. It features an 8MP auto-focus rear camera with LED flash, that comes with 5x digital zoom and records 1080p videos.
The Leap smartphone runs BlackBerry 10.3.1. Here is the promo video of the device!
