So, a lot of fans are not happy with the Pokemon starter evolutions so far. They find them too “edgy” and too “masculine/ feminine” for their taste. However, there is good news for them because a Japanese magazine may have just hinted at alternate evolutions for these Pokemon. Pokemon Sun and Moon alternate starter evolutions for Rowlet, Litten and Popplio may have just been confirmed by a Japanese magazine.
Pokemon Sun and Moon Alternate Starter Evolutions
In Pokemon Sun and Moon the monsters evolve into different forms based on the time of day. In June, CoroCoro hinted at multiple transformations for the starter Pokemon. One of these was Iwanko which translates to Rockruff. Rockruff’s supposed “secret” is multiple evolutions related to the time of day, it seems likely that the previously teased “secret” uniting these four monsters would be that special attribute.
The Japanese magazine revealed the new Rockruff. In August, the publication noted that the newly premiered puppy had a secret evolution. That tease became a reality on Monday with the full reveal of Lugarugan. According to translations, the fully grown form evolves with different appearances based on if the transformation happens in the day or night.
So, does that mean the starter Pokemon could have different evolutions? We hope so and from what we heard about Pokemon evolving differently according to the time of day, this might as well be true. This is all just speculation at the moment, so take it with a grain of salt.
Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are two upcoming role-playing video games in the Pokémon series developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS handheld game console.
