In a previous post, we listed down the top 10 rare Pokemon you could find in Pokemon GO. As it turns out, some or most of those Pokemon aren’t in the game yet. The developer Niantic hasn’t yet added some of the popular Pokemon in the game yet for reasons unknown. So as iDigitalTimes has noted in a report, Pokemon rarity lists are still speculations.
It is now known to most of the players that some type of Pokemon only appear in specific types of locations. For instance, you will find water Pokemon near water bodies and grassy Pokemon in grassy areas. Similarly, it is possible that a Pokemon that is rare in your area may be very common in another region.
Here’s the list of Pokemon that are not yet present in Pokemon GO yet but are definitely in the app’s source file:
- Articuno
- Mewtwo
- Mew
- Moltres
- Ditto
- Zapdos
You will find all the other Pokemon creatures inside the game. Of course, we don’t know any “official” way to find rare Pokemon, but you can try the Ingress map hack for help. Other than that, you should actually enjoy the game the way it’s meant to be. Rather than getting worried about finding special Pokemon, you should keep playing the game and climbing up the levels and something or the other will soon come your way.
That’s because the chances of you finding a rare Pokemon on Level 8 are better than when on Level 3. So your best bet right now is to keep playing the game and keep gaining XPs. The more Pokemon you catch and the more you win battles, the more you will gain experience. Experienced players will start spotting stronger Pokemon.
