Pokemon Go received an update a few days ago, and with that, we have a host of new information to share with you. This information will help you, the trainers, understand your Pokemon better.

Team Instinct

In the latest update, a new “Appraisal” feature has been introduced which allows trainers to better understand their Pokemon’s attack and defense capabilities. It will be highly useful in determining which will be best in specific battles. But What does Spark’s sentences found in the appraise feature mean for Team Instinct?

Going by insightful Pokemon Go players on Reddit, and Pokemon Go Gamepress report, following is the meaning of Spark’s appraisal sentences:

Team Instinct Pokemon IV Range

Spark will say the following in the overall analysis of your Pokemon’s IV range:

“Overall, your (Pokemon) simply amazes me! It can accomplish anything! — IV 81% to 100% (However, others have commented that the statement is actually: “Overall, your (Pokemon) looks like it can really battle with the best of them!”)

“Overall, your (Pokemon) is a strong Pokemon. You should be proud!” — IV 66% to 80% (However, others have commented that the statement is actually: “Overall, your (Pokemon) is really strong!”)

“Overall, your (Pokemon) is pretty decent!” — It’s not clear yet exactly which IV this pertains to, but compared to Team Valor’s decent comment, it likely means an IV of 51% to 66%.

“Overall, your (Pokemon) has room for improvement as far as battling goes.” — IV 0% to 50%

Team Instinct on Pokemon Attack, HP, & Defense

As reported by Gamepress, Spark will say the following about stats:

If your Pokemon has at least one stat with a bonus (IV) of 15, Spark will say: “Its stats are the best I’ve ever seen! No doubt about it!”

If at least one has a bonus (IV) value of 13 or 14, Spark will say: “Its stats are really strong! Impressive.”

If at least one stat has a bonus (IV) value of 8 to 12, Spark will say: “It’s definitely got some good stats. Definitely!’

If one stat has a bonus value of 0 to 7, Spark will say: “Its stats are all right, but kinda basic, as far as I can see.”

Spark’s Comments on Pokemon Size

Now that the Team Leaders are commenting on your Pokemon’s size, we assume this might play a more important role in future versions of Pokemon GO.

In case, your Pokemon is XS, Spark has been reported to say: “Wh-whoa. That’s the tiniest (Pokemon) I’ve ever seen!”

And if your Pokemon is XL, Spark says: “Your (Pokemon) is just HUGE!”
