GPS Spoofing and Bots in Pokemon Go

As for GPS spoofing, players can use it to catch Pokemon which are restricted in their region by making their Smartphone think that they are in a different region. And for Bots, well they kind of do everything in the game for you automatically.

According to Niantic, their goal is to make the game perfect for everyone and they will do everything they can to take down cheaters in the game.

Our goal is to provide a fair, fun and legitimate game experience for everyone. We will continue to work with all of you to improve the quality of the gameplay, including ongoing optimization and fine tuning of our anti-cheat system.

As for now, we currently don’t know exactly how Niantic is keeping a track of these cheaters in the game, but this is surely a good step towards improving the game. According to some users on Reddit, the number of cheaters in the game have increased a lot in the past few days.
