A new rumor has surfaced about Pokémon Go after further data-mining, which seems to reveal a major December update. Details include trading, Tomagatchi-like raising, and new Pokémon.

Maybe we will also see the game have functionality with Sun and Moon. It could get some of the real Pokémon fans playing Pokémon GO again. This is coming from the same company that removed tracking Pokémon from their own game, acted like we were going to be able to trade day one, and acted like we could easily purchase the Pokémon GO+ peripheral. Lots of players don’t have a huge amount of trust with Niantic as of right now. But many love LOVE Pokémon Sun and Moon and it would be really cool if GO could interact with the main series.
We don’t think it was a matter of laziness more so than a matter of being unable to program things before understanding how they would work globally. This isn’t the type of game you can get all your programming answers from running beta tests within a small control group. It’s a massive, global scale game that functions on literal real-time elements and actions. We don’t think they really understood how to implement most of it perfectly from the get go. They didn’t even get the tracking system down right. But all of that might change soon if this data mine is correct.
