Apparently, the Chinese team, Pangu has completed its work on an iOS 10 jailbreak. However, it wants to wait before making the new jailbreak public. The new Pangu iOS 10 jailbreak is likely to be released after Apple’s next iOS update.
Apple has already released two updates [10.0.1 and 10.0.2] for its latest iOS. However, the company claimed that both updates were meant to fix minor bugs and no major changes have been made. Apple had revealed iOS 10, during WWDC 2016.
As per iJailbreak.com, Pangu is waiting for Apple to introduce new changes. Its demonstration of Cydia running on iOS 10 is a solid proof that the OS can be jailbroken. In a way, Pangu has completed its work and is waiting for Apple’s next move, which might be the release of iOS 10.1.
Apple has been coming down heavily on the security breaches and jailbreaks. Its last two versions of the OS are said to have included patches designed to fix the exploits that jailbreak developers have been working on. In fact, Apple actually acknowledged Pangu for a resolved issue in the release notes provided with iOS 10.0.1.
While the release of iOS 10.0.2 might have put a temporary stop on new jailbreaks, it doesn’t necessarily mean the jailbreak is no longer possible. It makes sense that Pangu is not choosing the last two OS releases by Apple to base its jailbreak on. However, we will have to wait little longer for the iOS 10.1 update and forthcoming jailbreak. Still, the fully working untethered jailbreak is expected to last longer than usual. Some fans are also speculating that the jailbreak tool might actually skip iOS 10. The next jailbreak can be expected to from Pangu as other hackers such as iH8sn0w and Luca Todesco are known for not making their jailbreak public.
