Panasonic has unwrapped its latest mid-ranged smartphone, dubbed Panasonic Eluga Icon. The phone is available exclusively on Amazon India at Rs. 10,999.
Running Android 4.4.2 KitKat Operating System, the Panasonic Eluga Icon comes with a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It packs 2GB of RAM, 16GB of native storage, which is expandable up to 32GB, and a 3,500mAh battery. The handset is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor.
The back of Panasonic Eluga Icon is garnished with a 13MP primary shooter, and an 8MP selfie camera is placed at front. As far as connectivity is concerned, it includes, 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, FM Radio, Wi-Fi, hotspot, and GPS.
With Dual Sim Capability, the Eluga Icon will be available in Gold and Slate color options.
The selfie camera, and battery are the only features which seems quite good in this price. But the Android KitKat could be a big hurdle for the sales of the Eluga Icon. There are number of Chinese brands, which are offering the best of the features with latest Android 5.1, and even a lot cheaper in the price. In this price segment, there are better options available like Lenovo K3 Note, Moto G3, and Yureka Plus.
Well, it is yet to see how the company is going to market this. Any takers?
