Blizzard kept on teasing all the Overwatch fans for the past full week about the new Uprising event. The Overwatch Uprising event is finally live now and features tons of new content.

The Uprising event offers a variety of new content including the new Co-op Brawl mode, another event that focuses strictly on the game’s lore. The Uprising event started very recently and it replaced all the typical game loot boxes with Overwatch Uprising Loot boxes. Furthermore, the Uprising event introduces a number of new skins such as Mercy’s “Combat Medic Ziegler”, Tracer’s “Cadet Oxton”, “Talon Widowmaker,” and Blackwatch Genji, along with a number of others. Check out the new skins below.

The New Uprising Loot Boxes

The new Uprising Loot boxes offer a variety of content as well. Every Loot box earned or purchased contains one new skin in it along with Highlight Intro, Emote, Spray, and a Player Icon from the Overwatch Uprising Collections.

However, the contents of each of the new loot boxes is different from others. Blizzard confirms that players will be able to unlock a number of different cosmetic customizations with the help of credit in Hero Gallery. Players will be able to earn credits throughout the duration of the event.

A message from Blizzard about the new Uprising event teases;

“Get ready for the ultimate recall. Our latest seasonal event turns back the clock, giving you the chance to relive a pivotal moment in Overwatch history.

Explore stories behind some of your favorite heroes, unlock pieces of the past with over 100 declassified Loot Box items. Or suit up with your friends and join Tracer on her very first mission in a brand-new cooperative brawl.

It’s time to rewind the future. Welcome to Overwatch Uprising!”

The Uprising Event ends on May 1, 2017

In addition, blizzard has also confirmed that the players will be able to collect the new Overwatch Uprising event content until May 1, 2017. Blizzard has also stressed out the point that more info about the game’s history and lore will be revealed soon. The players will be having the news via Twitter and Facebook in near future.

Another one of Blizzard’s quote says that

“From now until May 1, you and three friends must journey seven years into the past. Joining forces as Tracer, Torbjörn, Reinhardt, and Mercy to quell an uprising on the streets of King’s Row.

A group of omnic separatists known as Null Sector has overwhelmed the area. And you must defeat the robots to liberate the city. The future depends on you.”

All the Overwatch fans were recently treated to another biggest update for the game. The update came in the form of Overwatch: Insurrection as part of the Omnic Crisis in-game event. Now with the release of the Uprising event, Overwatch fans are in for a double treat. Hopefully, they’ll be able to enjoy the game more.
