At the recently held Comic-Con, the executive producer of the series, Ronald D. Moore said that it will be a big transitional year for the show. The time-travel series will be packed with newborns, heartache, reunion, old ages and seas, says Deadline.

‘Outlander’ Season 3’ Episode 1 Comic-Con Premiere

A packed audience at the Comic-Con 2017 were surprised when the showrunner came out with an advance screening of the premiere episode of the new season. Titled, “The Battle Joined,” the first episode was an instant hit with the fans who were the first to see the entire episode that will be premiered for the rest of the world on September 10 when “Outlander” Season 3 debuts on Starz network.

What’s more the audience were treated to an exciting company of the series star with the likes of Caitriona Balfe (Claire), Sam Heughen ( Jamie Fraser), Sophie Skelton (Brianna), Tobias Menzies (Black Jack Randall/Frank Randall) and Richard Rankin (Roger Wakefield) gracing the panel along with the author and executive producer of the show, says  The Hollywood Reporter.

Although all through the discussion, the cast was tight-lipped about the “Outlander” Season 3 spoilers, Menzies did slip out some hints. He revealed that the story will begin at Culloden and that there will be an encounter between Jamie and Black Jack which can be the most unexpected turning point of the series.

‘Outlander’ Season 3 Frank And Claire Story Different From Book

Menzies said that the story of Frank and Claire and Boston will be unpacked in the third season, however, it will be quite different from what is written in the book. Balfe too revealed that the iconic print shop scene to be included this season have been specially written by the longtime writer on the board, Matt B. Roberts.

Balfe said that there will be big moments in “Outlander” Season 3, especially when Claire and Jamie find each other once more.
