OUKITEL U16 Max, the 6.0-inch super-big Android smartphone made by Chinese firm OUKITEL, has been released. Just like we had reported earlier, the device comes equipped with a 6.0-inch JDI brand screen material, 2.5D curved and LTPS tech that offers a resolution of 1280 x 720p.
Other predictions about the device have also been by and large spot on. Available in two color variants — space gray and champagne gold — the device weighs around 220 grams and has a form factor of 165.5 x 83 x 3.9 mm.
Under the hood, the handset is powered by a MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz (Cortex A53 Mali-T720), aided by 3GB of RAM. The native storage capacity is 32GB, but you can further expand it by 32GB using a microSD card. The primary camera is 13.0 MP with flash, whereas the secondary camera is 5 MP — no interpolation on either.
As you know, the battery capacity is crucial for a smartphone that big because it’s bound to put a lot of stress on the power efficiency of the device. In order to not let it become an issue, OUKITEL has opted for a 4,000 mAh battery which should be just enough to get the handset going for a whole day of moderate use on a single charge. The charging time has also been significantly reduced with the introduction of quick charging technology.
Other key OUKITEL U16 Max specs include dual SIM slots (1 micro + 1 nano, or 1 SIM + 1 TF card), Bluetooth, 5Pin micro USB, FM Radio, Gravity sensor/proximity sensor/Light sensor/fingerprint sensor/notification LED.
On the software front, the handset is powered by Android 7.0 Nougat with a lot of cool new features we took a good look at here. As for the price, the device will set you back less than $150.
