Just a couple of days back we had reported about the OUKITEL K8000 that came with the largest battery pack a smartphone has ever seen. Now the OUKITEL K5000 has been announced that the company claims to be at par with the Galaxy S8. The phone is strikingly similar to the 2017 Samsung flagship and we’d be discussing it.
First of all, the front of the OUKITEL K5000 sports thin bezels which brings the aspect ratio of 18:9. It seems that OUKITEL has purposely created a design similar to the Galaxy S8 series. This phone, however, comes with an HD+ Plus display, which is acceptable for the price it is available at. The company has also ensured a seamless curve from the front to the back, giving the phone an S8-like feel.

Under the hood, the OUKITEL sports 4GB of RAM and has 64GB of internal storage. It can be expanded further by 128GB. It comes powered by a MediaTek MT6750T octa-core processor, against the beast Snapdragon 835 on the S8, that OUKITEL compares its phone with. Apart from this, the K5000 sports a massive 5000mAh battery which should last you for a really long time.
On the camera front, you will be getting a 21MP camera on the back, while a 16MP sensor will be there on the front. The resolution might seem to be higher than the Galaxy S8 but it is yet to be known if the quality of the images and videos will be anything close to that of the S8.
The OUKITEL K5000 will run on the Android 7.0 Nougat and there is no word on when the next update will be pushed if it ever will. The fingerprint scanner on the phone found a place on the back, right below the camera unit.
K5000’s price is what the company believes to be a strong point and it indeed is. For a price of $159.99, the K5000 has a lot to offer and seems to be a strong device, at least on paper. We will have to wait a bit more to see if the phone is as good as it is claimed to be.
