It goes without saying that more and more smartphone manufacturers these days are increasingly focusing on the durability aspect of their smartphones across price ranges, Oukitel being no exception to that trend. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer recently introduced the Oukitel C5 Pro, a handset the company taunts as one of the most durable shock-proof smartphone ever made.
The company claims the C5 Pro is bestowed with a superior build quality that not only makes the handset sturdy but also ensures a better grip for users. To prove the point, Oukitel has posted a new YouTube video that shows the handset up in arms against several challenges.
As you will see in the video below, the performance of the device throughout the challenges is indeed laudable. It comes out virtually unscratched, let alone succumbing to physical damages, even after being hit by a hammer, dropped from heights, and used to knock nails into wood. While it goes without saying that these were controlled lab tests and end-users should not really use their smartphones to knock nails into woods, the point that C5 Pro is tougher than the majority of its competition was validated to some extent by the video.
Other tests included slide dropping, twists, high-temperature, low-temperature, rolling tests, and the likes. To add to the charm of the device, Oukitel also equipped the C5 Pro with a silicone case that provides extra protection for the display.
Key specs include: MediaTek 6737 clocked at 1.3 GHz, 2GB RAM, 16GB native storage (expandable), 5.0MP primary camera, 2.0 secondary camera, 5.0-in display (720 x 1280p), 2000 mAh battery, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow
The device is currently available for purchase on the official Oukitel website and authorized stores.
The promotional flash sale of the Oukitel C5 Pro will start next week and it will see the handset being sold at just $69.99.
