The upcoming Oppo R9 has been involved in a lot of rumors and speculations over the last few weeks. The last two R-series devices were not exactly high-end and brought mid-range specs to the tablet. However, it was being said that the R9 would change that, and that it would be a high-end flagship with the latest Snapdragon 820 chipset under its hood. Well, the Oppo R9 has passed through TENAA, and the truth has finally been uncovered.

The Oppo R9 and R9 Plus have been certified by TENAA and their specs have been revealed. The R9 flaunts a full-metal body and sports a 5.5-inches FullHD AMOLED screen. It is powered by a 1.95GHz octa-core CPU (possibly the MediaTek Helio P10 chipset) and gets 4GB of RAM with 32GB of onboard storage. The phone is juiced by a 2,850 mAh battery and gets 16MP cameras at the front and the back. The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Meanwhile, the Oppo R9 Plus flaunts are larger 6-inches FullHD AMOLED screen with the same configuration except a few things. The octa-core CPU is clocked at 1.8GHz, the battery is a 4120mAh unit, there’s 64GB onboard storage, and 4G LTE. The phone is running Android 5.0 Lollipop.

It is being said that the Oppo R9 will feature Oppo’s latest SuperVOOC flash charging technology that will charge the phone to full in just 15 minutes and will provide 10 hours of talktime with just 5 minutes of charge! That’s truly revolutionary. Apart from that, the phone might also get a three-axis optical image stabilization level SLR camera technology.

The Oppo R9 and R9 Plus will be unveiled on 17th March. Any takers?
