OPPO is one of the major smartphone manufacturers in the world and keeps releasing new smartphones every now and then. The last popular phone releases from the company were the OPPO R9 and R9 Plus, not forgetting the OPPO F1 that is dubbed as the selfie expert with a 16MP front camera. But let’s sway away from the high-end phones and concentrate on the budget segment.
A new phone named OPPO A37m has passed through TENAA and carries a little above entry-level specs. The device gets a 5-inch HD screen and supports 4G LTE. Its dimensions are 143.1 × 71 × 7.68 (mm) and it weighs 140g. Powered by an unknown 1.5 GHz octa-core processor, the phone gets 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage expandable up to 128 GB via microSD. The phone gets an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera.
As you can notice in the images, there is no fingerprint sensor on the back or a home button on the front, so no fingerprint scanners here as opposed to what many would have expected. However, the phone does look nice and is slim and light. The OPPO A37m will be available in Gold and Rose Gold colors and is juiced by a decent 2550mAh battery.
Now that the phone has passed through TENAA, we are sure it will be launched soon. We expect the phone to be priced around $200 or a bit less, and the initial release is expected to be initially limited to China and/or India. We’ll let you know in case of any further developments.
