The OnePlus Mini has been getting a lot of attention lately, and a decent amount of hype too.
Beyond the TENAA certification OnePlus Mini’s popularity most likely jumped up when the phone was accidentally (or not) listed on Amazon India and then upon realizing this mistake (or not) it was taken down.
Sadly there was no actual image of the phone, but the guys at TrueTech luckily managed to capture the Amazon India page before it was taken down. Below you can see this image, showing probably the now confirmed release specs, and a hint to one of its choice of colors.
As we can see the OnePlus Mini will be running on the OxygenOS 3.0 based on Marshmallow, powered by the MediaTek MT6795 SoC, 2GB of RAM and a metallic frame ensuring physical phone protection. The listed example comes in Sandstone Black color.
According to TrueTech, a mistake has been made in the specifications posted regarding the display, as Amazon India shows it to be a 5-inch HD screen (1080×1920) but with the wrong density parameters of 401 PPI instead of 441PPI. A 2450mAh battery backing the phone seems a bit weak for the current expectations of the phone consumers. According to previous rumors the OnePlus Mini will bring a 13-megapixel main camera.
Lastly, the title of the Amazon India post states ‘invite only’ which is probably not a good sign for the upcoming sale strategy of the phone, and many of us even fear it might just come out in flash sale mode.
We will post more details on the OnePlus Mini as soon as possible, till then we are all still heavily speculating.
