The upcoming flagship from OnePlus, the OnlPlus 5 has already stirred the rumor factory with its yet unannounced (yet leaked) specifications. The official launch of OnePlus 5 is still a week away, but who wouldn’t love to hear more about their favorite Android Smartphone manufacturer. The company has already released a number of teasers on various social media websites, but none of these are enough to know everything about OnePlus 5. However, thanks to a number of unofficial leaks we have a little knowledge of specs of the next OnePlus Flagship.
OnePlus 5: Its Design
OnePlus recently teased a OnePlus 5 in an official teaser. It looks somewhat like iPhone 7 Plus from the back. The back is also shown to sport the much rumored dual camera setup placed horizontally alongside each other. The smartphone is also expected to pack in a fingerprint sensor on its front side. There have been rumors that it will be the “slimmest flagship smartphone”. The same was confirmed by OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, however, he did not confirm whether he meant the slimmest smartphone among all flagships or just the slimmest smartphone among OnePlus smartphones.
OnePlus 5: Specifications
Earlier, it was claimed by OnePlus and Qualcomm that 5 will be the first smartphone in India to come with Snapdragon 835. However, they lost their claim to Sony which recently launched Xperia XZ Premium with Snapdragon 835 SoC. The Snapdragon 835 SoC used in OnePlus 5 is clocked at 2.35GHz.
The OnePlus Flagship will be available in two memory variants, one with a combination of 6GB RAM and 64GB internal space, while the other variant will come with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
OnePlus has already teased the image samples from the much-hyped DxO camera, and it really is worth its hype. The samples showed a near-excellent low light snaps. So, we can expect a stellar performance from its 23MP rear camera and 16MP front camera.
OnePlus 5 Price and Availability
The 6GB RAM variant is rumored to bear a price tag of Rs. 32,999. The 8GB RAM variant will be sold for a slightly more Rs. 37,999. However, these are just rumored prices, OnePlus has not yet confirmed anything about its next flagship’s price. According to a leak, OnePlus 5 will be sold exclusively through Amazon.
OnePlus 5 will officially see the light of the day on June 20, with an Indian launch scheduled for June 22.
