Before you ask where is OnePlus 4? Let us tell you, for Chinese, the number “4” is deemed unlucky, and hence there won’t be any OnePlus 4. All the rumors have settled on to the OnePlus 5 name, and so are we. And today, the said device has leaked, courtesy, Roland Quandt of WinFuture.
According to Quandt findings from a listing on the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the smartphone will carry the model number OnePlus A5000. Again, the emphasis on 5 confirms that OnePlus is skipping the numerical 4.
OnePlus 5 Specifications
As the days pass, the rumors for the upcoming “Never Settle” offering are getting stronger. According to GSMArena, OnePlus 5 will be a powerful device. It will sport a 5.5-inch optic AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with Gorilla Glass 5 sheet on top. The smartphone will be powered by the latest and fastest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC with 6 or maybe 8 Gigs of RAM. There will be three storage variants this time around: 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB. OnePlus 5 will boot Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.
Coming to the camera things get more interesting. OnePlus is expected to use a 23-megapixel primary camera with phase detection focus. While on the front, the megapixel will remain the same as OnePlus 3t. The company will stick with the 3.5mm headphone jack along with Fingerprint scanner and a 3000 mAh battery.
Still, all these are preliminary specs, and the actual product may differ at the time of the announcement. Do let us know what you think of the OnePlus 5 leaked specs in the comments section below.
