After the global unveiling of OnePlus 5 in China a couple of days ago, OnePlus held an Indian specific launch event in Mumbai today i.e. June 22, 2017. The smartphone will come in two storage variants of 64GB with 6 GB RAM priced at INR 32,990 ($510) and 128 GB with 8GB RAM at INR 37,990 ($587). Just like all other OnePlus offerings, this one too will be an Amazon India exclusive.

OnePlus 5 sports the same 5.5-Inch Full HD AMOLED display from the last generation with 2.5D curved glass sheet on top. It is powered by the latest and fastest Qualcomm Snapdragon 10 nm SoC with Adreno 540 GPU. Users can choose between two RAM / Storage variants of 6 GB / 64GB and 8 GB / 128 GB. It’s a dual-sim device with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. All this is powered by a Non-removable Li-Ion 3300 mAh battery.
This year OnePlus has included two cameras on the rear, where one is a regular 16MP sensor, which excels at low-light photography with a bright f/1.7 aperture, and the other is a 20 MP telephoto lens. The company has worked closely with DXOMark, so it will be interesting to see the results. And for those interested in the selfie unit, OnePlus has injected a 16 MP sensor on the front.
Connectivity-wise OnePlus 5 is truly global smartphone with support for 6 modes and 34 bands. It also features Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, hotspot, Dash charging, and a fingerprint reader embedded into the home button.
