It seems that The OA, the new Netflix original TV show is quite popular among subscribers since the company renewed the show less than two months after it debuted.
Ever since Netflix entered into our lives, TV shows got a bit different. Instead of waiting for a week to watch the new episode, the entire season is available to watch at once. This is probably heaven for binge-viewers, and it makes easier to analyze the popularity of new shows.
The OA debuted on December 16, 2017, and already picked up a solid fan base. The first season ended in a way that screams for the new season, and the story itself is pretty interesting.
The show, Created by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, is a combination of mystery, drama, and sci-fi. If this sounds similar to Stranger Things, you aren’t the only one thinking that.
The series follows Prairie Johnson (played by Marling), a girl who’s been missing for years, but strangely returns to her town with her eyesight restored (she’s been blind prior to her missing).
The series takes viewers through many bizarre scenes while showing what Prairie endured during the years she’s been missing. And the season finale is an awesome, strange and thoughtful and emotionally moving. If you haven’t start watching the show, do find it at check it out.
