Having established itself as a major stakeholder in China’s special phone market with the “Oinom” brand, Shenzhen Xin KingBrand Enterprises is now eying to expand the company’s reach outside its home turf. But instead of sticking to the Oinom brand, the company has decided to go with a new branding labeled as ‘Nomu’ for its new venture.
The company has made its international debut by launching the Nomu S10, S20, and S30 series handsets – all three rugged smartphones with tempting specs-to-price ratios.
As the moniker itself suggests, Nomu S10 is the most basic and affordable among the three, but it still boasts specs that the vast majority of its competitors would be envious about.
The device comes equipped with a Sharp 5-inch IGZO HD IPS display, MediaTek MT6737T, 2GB RAM, Sony IMX219 primary camera, 16GB native storage, a massive 5000 mAh battery with quick charging, and waterproof NXP speaker.
Powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the Nomu S10 flaunts a full rubber unibody that’s water proof, dust proof, shatter proof, and freeze proof. As for the pricing, the Nomu S10 will be made available at $129.99 onward.
While the specs and pricing are indeed attractive, it remains to see how far the Nomu S10 and its siblings can go in the international arena when it comes to undermining the headstart some of its rival brands such as UMi enjoys.
