Want to play No Man’s Sky, but not a fan of DRM? The game will be available in DRM-free form on GOG.com as well as Steam. No Man’s Sky will also be fully playable offline, according to an explicit notice on the page by Hello Games.

According to the notice on the GOG.com listing, “DRM-FREE. No activation or online connection required to play.” This is probably made possible by the fact that Hello Games is self-publishing the title on the PC. No publisher interference sure does feel nice.

The game also has rather lax system requirements, if you’re interested in getting in on the action:

  • Windows: 7 / 8 / 10
  • Processor: Core i3
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVidia GTX 480
  • Hard Drive: 10 GB
  • Mouse, Keyboard

That’s right, you will need a mouse or keyboard for the game. Those of you using your racing wheel to use your computers are not very lucky. The game’s particularly low hard drive space requirement might be due to the game’s extensive use of procedural generation.

No Man’s Sky is coming out on June 21st for the PC and PS4.
