Nintendo Switch console is being sold in huge quantities around the globe and there are more customers than previously expected. Due to the sales of Console in huge quantities the demand of more games on Nintendo Switch in increasing. Based on this kind of demand, Nintendo will definitely have to expand its Nintendo Switch games list. This full year is predicted to be marking the highest number of console sales so there should be more games that support Nintendo Switch play.
We know that currently the Nintendo Switch games list is limited to a number of titles that lie in AAA category. But the demand for more games is real. Nintendo will definitely have to add more games to the list for a better reach to its customers.
We can see that the Nintendo Switch s breaking the previous records of any console sales. It predicted that Nintendo will sell out over 5 million units this year. This will outrank Nintendo’s own previous high console sales records.
According to Nintendo’s own High Ranking officials statements, Both of Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Wii could break the records because of their unique design and all the innovative features they offer.
SuperData Analysis about Nintendo Switch Sales
A Data Analysis firm SuperData, says that Nintendo will have to build the impression among its customers that this is a Must-have console after the Nintendo Wii.
Based on the latest trends, we can see that it’s a big challenge for Nintendo to convince it’s customers that Nintendo Switch is their ideal Console to buy. The SuperData report also says that a huge amount console players have committed to buy PS4 and Xbox One. (Installed base for PS4 is around 53.4 Million and for Xbox One it is around 26 Million). This proves that it’ll be a challenging to convince the console players to buy Nintendo Switch instead of PS4 or Xbox One.
As compared to PS4 and Xbox One consoles that are low in price and offer a bundled purchase (One game with each console bundle), Nintendo Switch’s $300 price tag is the biggest hurdle this regard. Lets’ see how Nintendo convinces its customers to buy a high price console without a bundled offer.
As we’ve described it above, The games that are playable on Nintendo Switch and their numbers will be the key element if Nintendo wants to keep moving forward and break the records of most console sales in a year.
The SuperData report further says that the Zelda: Breath of the Wild launch with the Nintendo Switch consoles will definitely give the sales a good boost but this boost will be for a limited time and Nintendo will eventually have to add more supported titles in order to keep moving forward.
Nintendo knows it all as they have already started working on making some of the critically acclaimed titles such as Skyrim, Mario Kart, and Spaltoon 2. This will definitely be a good step towards stable Nintendo Switch sales throughout the year.
