Oppo F1s is one pretty capable selfie-centric smartphone. It is equipped with a high-resolution 16 MP front camera for all selfie lovers. The company now launched an upgraded version of the model, containing more RAM and more internal storage space.
The refreshed F1s comes with 4 GB of RAM, as well as 64 GB of internal storage and one new color option, gray. The storage can be expanded via dedicated microSD card slot, and for the first 50,000 buyers, Oppo has a gift in the form of limited edition Doctor Strange phone cover.
The price didn’t remain the same. The new model costs Rs. 18,990 (around $275); an Rs. 1,000 price hike compared to the regular edition. The upgraded F1s will start selling in Indian Oppo stores later this month, while Amazon.in will start offering the phone during December.
Aside from adding more RAM and ROM, the phone stayed the same. It features a metal chassis, with 2.5 glass on top of the display. Further, the smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch 720p IPS display protected with Gorilla Glass 4, a 16 MP (f/2.0, 78.1 degrees wide-angle view) high-resolution selfie camera supporting ISOCELL technology, with added effect filters as well as Selfie Panorama, Beautify 4.0 and screen flash (no LED flash on the front).
On the back, you can find a 13 MP (f/2.2, 1/3 inch sensor) main camera supporting ultra-fast focus speeds, with added Ultra-HD, Double Exposure, and Super GIF features. The phone is powered by MediaTek MT6750 (Octa-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53, Mali-T860MP2) chipset, it runs under Android Lollipop-based ColorOS 3.0 UI (the company could’ve upgraded the system to Android Marshmallow), and packs a 3,075 mAh battery. The physical Home Button on the front also plays the role of a fingerprint sensor.
