Coolpad has so far had a fun time in the price-sensitive and highly competitive Indian smartphone market.
The China-based company, despite being relatively the new kid on the block in India, has managed a pretty decent market penetration – thanks to its fleet of feature-rich and affordable smartphones, backed an aggressive marketing push.
Continuing with that tried-and-tested trend, Coolpad is now reportedly planning to launch a new smartphone on September 23 in India. The company has already sent invites for the event promising a glimpse into what they refer to as “Beast among the best” device.
Awaiting fans are hoping that the forthcoming device will come with a tempting combination of powerful specs, sleek design, and affordability. Just like the Coolpad Note 3.
While the company is teasing potential buyers regularly on its Facebook page, it doesn’t seem to be willing to disclose anything with regard to the new Coolpad smartphone specs and price.
Rumors, however, suggest that it will come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Also, some websites are saying it will carry a 4GB RAM to boost users’ gaming experience in addition to handling resource-intensive apps better than the Coolpad Note 3.
While Mobipicker can not independently verify it, it seems like the new device will have fingerprint sensors and carry a huge 5,000 mAh battery to complement its powerful specs.
As for the price, given the tough competition coming from brands like Asus, Gionee, LeEco, and Panasonic, it is likely that the new Coolpad smartphone will be priced around Rs 10,000.
