Processor and Memory
Speed is not the biggest strength of the new Moto E, but it is neither a complete slouch with things. Equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC paired with 1GB of RAM and the Adreno 306 Graphics Processing Unit, the phone is capable to manage the easiest of jobs, but it is definitely not the tightest thing with its operation. There is a visible delay with a number of processes, which turn out to be more evident with heavier operations.
In terms of memory, Moto E first gen packs a 4GB of internal storage which is tough to play around with, so we are pleased that Moto has chosen to boost the memory of its 2nd gen Moto E to 8GB – and on top of that, it is further expandable via its microSD card slot, if needed.
