Moto X Pure Edition a.k.a Moto X Style outside the US was launched way back in 2015 with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. But today, the smartphone is getting the much-awaited Android 7.0 Nougat update. Just to remind, Lenovo-owned initiated the soak test for Nougat firmware on the Pure Edition last month.

Just like most updates, this one too is happening in phases. We recommend you be patient while Motorola seeds the new release to devices in the US. To check manually whether the update is available for your particular device, visit the Settings > About phone > System updates menu on your smartphone.

Moto X Pure Edition Nougat Update Changes

The Android 7.0 Nougat software for Moto X Pure Edition brings a lot of new features to the ever so popular Android operating system. The long list of features includes Multi-windows feature for better multi-tasking with apps running side-by-side, revamped notification system, Doze on the Go for better battery life, new emojis, custom quick settings, Data saver, and more.

For those who don’t know, Moto X Pure Edition launched in July 2015 with a 5.7-Inch QHD display with Gorilla Glass 3 sheet on top. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexacore chipset with 3 Gigs of RAM. The smartphone was praised for the stock android experience and customizing options.

As far as the Indian variant is concerned, Motorola upgraded the Moto X Style to Android 7.1.1 Nougat in December last year.
