Lenovo-owned Motorola has just announced Moto G5 for the Indian market. The smartphone will sell exclusively on Amazon India for Rs. 11,999. Just to remind, Moto G5 was first spotted at an MWC 2017 event in Barcelona alongside the bigger sibling, Moto G5 Plus. That one sells exclusively on Flipkart for Rs. 14,999. Let’s dig into the details of Motorola Moto G5.
Moto G5 Specifications
First thing first, Moto G5 sports a 5-Inch Full HD compared to 5.2-Inch on the Plus variant. It is powered by a less capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC based on 28 nm process architecture. The Moto G5 Plus, on the other hand, featured Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 14 nm chipset. Just like the G5 Plus, this one too will come in two options of 2 GB RAM, 16 GB Storage and 3 GB RAM, 32 GB storage. Both options support micro-SD cards up to 256 Gigabyte.
The camera department is the other differentiating factor between the regular and Plus variant. On the Moto G5, Lenovo has gone with 13 MP rear with a f/2.0 aperture and 5 MP front shooters. The rear one on G5 Plus had a better 12 MP shooter with a f/1.7 aperture capable of 4K shooting. As for the software is concerned, this one too boots Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Coming to the battery, the phone packs in a 2800 mAh battery. Another notable improvement to the basic variant from last year is the presence of fingerprint reader.
