Motorola Moto G (Gen 4) and Moto G4 Plus have been creating a lot of buzz off-late. Information regarding these devices has already been leaked through recent videos and images. If the latest reports from GizmoChina is to be believed, one of these devices may get launched on June 9 this year.
Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing confirmed the release of one of these devices on the launch event of Zuk Z2 Pro. Zuk is an online-only brand of Lenovo and our readers must be aware that Lenovo completely acquired Motorola from Google back in 2014.
Mr. Yuanqing didn’t spill much but it is now almost confirmed that one of these devices will soon see the light of the day as the hype around the Moto G (Gen 4) and Moto G4 Plus don’t seem to stop.
In the latest set of leaks, the prototypes of both of these devices were revealed separately in a video and an image. The leaked image showed a white-coloured Moto G4 Plus with a square shaped fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button. The image also showed a front-facing camera, speaker grills and the rear shooter with autofocus sensors and flash. The characteristic moto ‘dimple’ carrying the company logo could also be seen in the leaked image.
On the other hand, the leaked video which was posted on YouTube showed the Moto G (Gen 4). Interestingly, there was no fingerprint sensor. In the video, the alleged black coloured Moto G (Gen 4) was compared with the 2014 Moto X model and the Moto G (Gen 4) seemed slightly bigger in size. The video also showed the Active Display technology which has been a characteristic feature in the Moto handsets for some time now.
