As of now, fans are awaiting the heartbreaking scene when Wang So will kill his own brother Wang Eun. Hae Soo and Wang So’s wedding is also one of the most awaited events in the story. But what will happen in the second season of the show?

Rumors say that “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” Season 2 may bring the characters in the modern, 21st-century world. That’s because, in the Chinese novel “Bu Bu Jing Xin” (which the show is based on), the female protagonist dies in the past life. So a near-death-experience for Hae Soo will be necessary if she is to be transported back to the present world. All the speculations are confusing right now, but if you are a fan, all you can do is hope for the makers to come up with the next season of the show.

About “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo”:

This show is a South Korean drama and is based on Tong Hua’s Chinese novel called “Bu Bu Jing Xin”. The series started airing on 29th August this year on SBS at 22:00 KST every Monday and Tuesday for 20 episodes. Even though the show was very well marketed and was produced with a $13 million budget and an ensemble cast, it received only single-digit audience ratings on an average in South Korea. It was a commercial as well a critical disappointment in its home country, but internationally, the response was more favorable and welcoming. After the first few episodes, the TV ratings also started climbing positively.

The plot of “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” is also quite different. The story revolves around a 21st-century woman named Ko Ha-jin who, after a total solar eclipse, gets transported back in time during Korea’s Goryeo Dynasty and wakes up as a 16-year old girl named Hae Soo. Then a love story happens between her and the 4th Prince Wang So. The prince is called “dog-wolf” and people are afraid of him. The rest is history- a fight for love and the throne amidst all the love, friendships, politics, and rivalry between the princes.
