Fresh off the trademark leak for Pokémon Sun and Moon, we have another trademark leak, this time in the form of a new Monster Hunter game. Could the game proper be revealed later today?
The trademark for ‘Monster Hunter Generations’ has been trademarked in Europe, as can be seen here. If the link doesn’t work for you, put in the game’s title in the search bar and you should land on the page.
While no details are available on what this game could be, we think it has a strong chance of being a localisation of Monster Hunter X (pronounced Monster Hunter Cross), the latest Monster Hunter game released in Japan. Monster Hunter X was released in November 28, 2015 in Japan and has no official release date for a Western release – as of now.
Nintendo is hosting a Direct later today, in which a number of games coming out for the Wii U and 3DS through Summer 2016 will be revealed and detailed. Considering the trademark for Pokémon Sun and Moon was spotted the day before the game’s release, this certainly lines up with our expectations for a reveal in today’s Direct.
Are you excited for Monster Hunter Generations? Do you think it’s a localisation of X, or is it a brand new game? Let us know in the comments below.
