Minecraft: Pocket Edition currently sits at version 0.14.2, but it will kicking things up a notch with version 0.15.0 at some point in the near future. Thanks to developers Tommaso Checchi and Jason Major tweeting quite liberally, we have a decent idea of what to expect from the upcoming update to Minecraft: Pocket Edition.

One of the biggest features lined up for the update is the addition of Minecraft Realms, which is essentially a cross-platform server renting service that allows players from a variety of platforms to play together. Realms will support cross-platform play between Android, iOS, Windows Phone and Windows 10 versions of the game.

Apart from this, the update will feature resource packs. They were previously added to the Pocket Edition of Minecraft, but then got locked out so that they can only be played by jailbreaking. 0.15.0 will mark their proper return to the game. Redstone Phase 3 will see the addition of pistons and sticky pistons, and they will be able to push block entities.

There will be a new Horses mob and a new Archer mob, and as for food, expect both Raw Mutton and Cooked Mutton. Block and Item additions will include a Horse Spawn Egg, Command Block, Fire Charges, Name Tags and Leads. Windows 10 and VR users will be able to use a new Anti-Aliasing option in the game, and there will also be support for commands and plugins, as well as an increase of the world build height to 391 blocks.
