Minecraft: Pocket Edition has an ongoing beta, the Beta 0.14.0 Edition, and apparently you can get it for free, according to Neurogadget. The beta was announced all the way back on January 25, 2016, and is unfortunately only available to Android users.
There is a ton of content and changes promised for the upcoming 0.14.0 version, so if you’re interested in the beta, there is a lot to be excited for. The new features include cauldrons, maps, hoppers, dispensers, droppers, item frames, slime blocks, witches, red sandstone and a UI scale slider. Also, pumpkin hats, because every game needs pumpkin hats.
There’s three conditions you need to meet if you want to join the beta test. First, you need to have an Android device that can run Minecraft: Pocket Edition. Second, you need to buy the base game, Minecraft: Pocket Edition from the Google Play Store. Third, opt in to the Beta test and wait with bated breath for an e-mail from Mojang. If you do end up joining the test, the app will automatically install the beta to your device.
The beta test is ongoing, so there’s a constant stream of updates and changes that are being recorded in this cute little blog. Keep an eye on it to know what to expect from your current beta version.
