A lot of rumors have been revolving around the new Lumia devices that are apparently going to be launched by Microsoft soon. One rumor has already suggested that Microsoft will hold a major event in October to announce some new devices, that include two Lumia smartphones, a wearable Band 2, and a Surface 4 tablet. Most of the limelight seems to be falling on the Lumia phones.
Codenamed as Cityman and Talkman, Lumia 950 XL and Lumia 950 are rumored to be launched soon and might also get a change in name to Lumia 940 and 940 XL. However, the matter of the moment is that a few leaked images of these new devices have surfaced online and they do look genuine.
The above image displays the Lumia Cityman 950 XL in real life and it looks like the device has been connected to a docking station perhaps. Such a Continuum docking station allows the user to display the content on the phone’s screen directly on a PC screen.
Apart from the real life image, two render images (show above) of the devices have also been released by Evan Blass (@evleaks), a famous leaker. It is just a render image, so we suggest you to take it with a pinch of salt. However, the real life image does look very genuinely suggestive of the new phone.
The Lumia Cityman (950 XL or 940 XL) is rumored to get 5.7-inch Quad HD display (1440 x 2560 pixels) along with an octa-core, Snapdragon 810 processor. It may also feature aluminum side buttons, a 3300 mAh battery, and an iris scanner.
Cityman’s smaller sibling, the Lumia Talkman (950 or 940), will be reportedly getting a Quad HD screen measuring 5.2-inches and the power duties will be handled with a six-core Snapdragon 808 processor.
Both the Microsoft handsets are expected to come with Windows 10 mobile and will be sporting some common features like 20 MP PureView rear shooters, 5 MP front cam, 32 GB expandable memory, and 3 GB RAM.
