Live Interactive Tiles are an integral part of Windows 10 Mobile ecosystem allowing us to interact with some aspects of the application without even opening it, from the home screen itself of our smartphones or tablets.
Live Tiles integration isn’t easy due to which many apps including some popular ones don’t have the functionality. It’s challenging for any developer to combine the design with rest of the system without making the user interface complex.
Microsoft knows this and will dedicate a complete session to the aforementioned subject in the coming build conference called “What’s New in Tiles and Toast Notifications”. Following is the abstract from session description by Microsoft:
Notifications are an essential tool in Windows to captivate your users. We are working on the basis of notification center to give developers much more flexibility in adapting the design of notifications. We have also introduced a very powerful API that enables a new class of apps made to the list of notifications (*) and provide innovative experiences for users. The Live Tiles have evolved with two surprises that have requested vehemently and will not want to lose you .
It will be interesting to know the two surprises come Wednesday when the build conference starts.
