Indian smartphone and gadgets manufacturer Micromax has a very dominating presence in the Indian smartphone market. The company has now been trying to a make a strong presence in the tablet market as well and thus it recently launched its latest 7-inch tablet Micromax Canvas tab P702 within the market.

The company has launched the Canvas tab P702 at a price tag of Rs 7,999 and it will be exclusively sold through Snapdeal. The company is also offering Kindle eBooks worth Rs 1,500 absolutely free with this tablet. The tablet will be available in classy white and bold black colour variants.

The Canvas tab P702 is powered by a quad-core1.3GHz MediaTek chipset along with 2 GB of RAM. It has an inbuilt storage of 16 GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The device has a 720p 7-inch display and will run Android OS 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box.

The primary camera is of 5 megapixels and has an LED flash while there is a 2-megapixel secondary camera for selfies and video chat.

The device supports voice calling and has dual-SIM functionality. The good news is that the device is 4G enabled and thus future-proof. It packs a battery of 3,000 mAh and also includes other connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, etc.

Micromax had just a few days ago released its 5-inch smartphone Canvas Smart 4G. This would be Micromax’s second release just within a fortnight and it shows its determination to dominate the Indian market.
