Last month, Google confirmed that it has started the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to all Android One devices and it will be seeded every week to randomly selected phones. It seems that next phone for the latest update has been chosen from the Micromax, as the company has announced the Android 5.1 OTA update for its mid-ranger Canvas A1 phone.
Latest Android 5.1 Lollipop upgrade brings a ton of improvements over previous version including bold material design, power saving features and improved notification panel with better quick setting options. The best feature offered in latest update is Android Smart Lock, that means if your phone is stolen that can not be unlocked unless the person has your google account credentials.
For the Micromax Canvas A1, update package comes in approx. 410 MB and it can take up to few days to reach all the handset users.
