Chinese smartphone maker Meizu’s forthcoming budget flagship, Meizu M5 Note, will be officially unveiled on December 6, 2016, new reports revealed. Confirming earlier rumors, the launch has now been virtually confirmed by the company through a teaser.Meizu has already sent out invites for the launch event in China.
Interestingly, the company has another media event scheduled on November 30 where it will announce the Meizu X, a new budget/mid-range product line of Meizu. The much-anticipated M5 Note was earlier expected to arrive on November 30 along with the Meizu X. However, the invites for the Dec 6 event dismissed those rumors.
The Dec 6 invite also reveals that the Meizu M3 Note production has already hit the landmark figure of 20 million, suggesting that the company will stop the production of the handset as its successor M5 Note takes over.
The Meizu M5 Note specs will include a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, Helio P10 MT6755M processor, 3GB of RAM, 4,000 mAh battery, fingerprint sensor, 5MP front camera, 13MP rear camera, as well as a sturdy metal build.
Compared to that, the Meizu X is likely to flaunt the Helio P30 octa-core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz and it will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
As for the price, the M5 Note will probably come with a price tag of $130 or higher.
