Contact Addresses are Available Automatically

First of all, all the friends’s addresses that are in your contacts app will now be available in the Your places screen under the LABELED page. So you don’t need to manually enter locations of your friends or search for them as it gets pulled automatically from your contact book.

Contribute Photos in Batches

Contributing photos has also got a lot easier. You can now snap dozes of photos and submit them in batches. The new “Add your photos to Maps” option is available on the Contribute page and will take your to a screen that contains all your recently-taken photos. The photos get grouped according to location and you can add captions to them too while submitting them in batches.

New Notifications Toggle

You will find a new toggle by going to Settings –> Notifications in the Maps app. This will probably inform you about the changes done to freeways and roads, new mass transport stations, and other such important changes around your location.

Related Searches and Suggestions

You will find new related searches and suggestions at the bottom of the location pages. While you are checking out a landmark or business, you will be given potentially useful information about the different businesses and places around that location. There’s the usual “”People also search for” list, though many places like hotels and airports might show more option for travelers and tourists.
