Isn’t it a pain when you have to carry your charger everywhere you go just so that your phone doesn’t run out of battery at crucial times? Are you tired of carrying power banks in your pocket just because your Android phone has got a very poor battery life? Well, thanks to a Chinese smartphone maker, you can just forget your charger and power bank at home for a few days.
Known as the MACOOX EX1, the phone actually looks like it has been glued to a big 9,000mAh power bank. However weird that may sound, it actually does the job of keeping the phone alive for many days without charge. The device itself is an entry-level smartphone with 4.5-inch screen, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 8MP rear camera with LED flash, and a 2MP front camera.
What’s not so good about the MACOOX EX1 is that the power bank makes it really thick, measuring at 14-15 mm. Such a thick smartphone needs baggy pant pockets, so your normal jeans won’t hold the phone for you. Though the EX1 is good for the power that it carries, it’s just not logical enough. Wouldn’t you prefer carrying a thin phone and a normal power bank with you rather than having to carry a beefy, heavy smartphone? Take your call!
