While we were pretty disappointed with Apple when the company did not launch the much-awaited MacBook Pro 2016 at the 21st March event, we are nonetheless excited about the next rumored launch date for the new models. We already have 13″ and 15″ MacBook Pro models, and it will be interesting to see what Apple does to make the upcoming notebooks one of the best launches of this year.

First of all, the upcoming 2016 MacBook Pro models are expected to come with the latest sixth-generation Intel Skylake processors. For the record, Apple updated the 12-inch MacBook a few days ago and gave it a thinner and lighter design with better specs, including Skylake processors. So yes, we are now sure that the MacBook Pro 2016 will be powered by Skylake processors that will offer better performance and speed. Apart from performance, Skylake processors are also expected to improve the battery life of the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 models.

Talking about the graphics cards used in the upcoming Pro notebooks, a new rumor recently came up that Apple might use new AMD GPUs in the MacBook Pro 2016. This new GPU uses Global Foundries 14 nm FinFET processor node for better graphics performance, something the MacBook Pro really should have. As far as talks of the town are believed, the new GPU might be a 100% faster than the GPU used in the current MacBook Pro.

As for the design, we don’t expect any major changes. But it is being said that a Gold MacBook Pro might be in the pipeline.

When is the MacBook Pro 2016 Releasing?

We all know by now that the WWDC 2016 (Worldwide Developers’ Conference) will be held from 13th to 17th June. We expect Apple to announce the new MacBook Pro models at this event, most likely on June 13 itself.

How Much Will the 2016 MacBook Pro Cost?

The lowest-end Retina MacBook Pro (15-inch) costs $1,999. The higher-end model costs $2,499. The upcoming MacBook Pro (2016) models should be priced similarly with just a small bump in the pricing so that it helps Apple get an edge over its competitors.

So, will the new MacBook Pro 2016 be better than any MacBook before? Yes, definitely! The new laptops will have faster processors, better graphics cards, advanced features, advanced everything. If you are looking to buy a MacBook Pro, we suggest you hold on to your horses for a couple more months and get the latest hardware.
