A lot of leaks and rumors have surrounding the upcoming Nexus devices and if all the reports are anything to go by, Huawei and LG will be releasing their Nexus smartphones this year. Huawei is reportedly working on a 5.7-inch Nexus device while LG is manufacturing a 5.2-inch Nexus smartphone. Having said that, some really exciting news about the LG Nexus 5 (2015) has reached us today.
The LG Nexus 5 (2015) has been the centre of attraction as well as rumors since the time its existence was made public. Finally, today’s report seems to reveal the launch date of this much-awaited smartphone. A new South Korean report has stated that the upcoming LG Nexus phone will be launched on the 29th of September this year. This date falls a bit earlier than we had thought of. The report further adds that the smartphone will start selling on the same day of its release.
The report says that the smartphone will be initially available at the Google Play Store only and will reach other retailers later on. However, the report mentioned nothing about the Nexus phablet that is being made my Huawei, hence we do not know if Huawei will release its Nexus phablet on the same day as the LG Nexus handset.
If rumors are to be belived, the LG Nexus 5 (2015) will come with a 5.2-inch QHD IPS LCD display. It houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core SoC along with 3GB RAM. The device is rumored to get a fingerprint scanner on the back along with a Laser Autofocus beside the rear camera sensor. The phone will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Only time will tell how quickly the device comes in our hands.
