The Korean company has launched its latest flagship phone LG G4 in India at the price tag of Rs. 51,000 ($803). The smartphone was available for pre-orders in the country since June 1st.
Amit Gujral, Marketing head at LG India, said on the launch –
[quote_box_center]The company is not yet ready to overlook traditional retail and will be targeting roughly 6000 stores all over India. Online is just another channel, and it’s an emerging one and we appreciate that. However, our relationship with any of our distribution channels has to be in sync with what we as a brand want to communicate to consumers. We can’t have two different schemes for retail and online. All the offline retail will get the leather variant in three colours, while the metallic ceramic is only going to the online partner Amazon.[/quote_box_center]
It seems that Rs. 51,000 ($803) is the price of leather back variant, as Amazon India is selling the “Ceramic White” variant at just Rs. 44,990 ($707).
Successor to LG G3, the G4 sports a 5.5 inch HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and is powered by a Snapdragon 808 chipset with 64-bit hexa-core 1.8GHz processor. It packs 32GB expandable storage, 3GB of RAM, and a 3,000mAh battery. The LG G4 features an 8 megapixel selfie shooter and a 16 megapixel OIS 2.0 rear snapper with f1.8 aperture.
Yesterday, the LG G4 has been launched in Canada too through all major carriers.
